Woman found dead in flat fire

A woman has died following a flat fire in Stourbridge this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to a block of flats on Green Street, shortly after 10.00am (Friday). A paramedic area support officer and a responder paramedic attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “When paramedics arrived they found the fire service tackling a blaze in a flat.

“Sadly, nothing could be done to save a woman found inside the property and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
