Fatal crash in Worcestershire

Monday 10th June 2013 – 11.15am – John Hawker.

A man has died following an RTC in Worcestershire this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to Crown Lane, Crossway Green, Stourport on Severn at around 6.35am.  Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trusts MERIT team attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a motorcycle and a small van that had been in a collision.

“The man riding the motorcycle had suffered multiple serious injuries and was in traumatic cardiac arrest.  Advanced life support was carried out at the scene by medics, but unfortunately, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man was he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“The driver of the van, a man believed to be in his 40’s was treated at the scene for a wrist injury and also shock.  He did not require further hospital treatment.”
