RTC in Elmdon

A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Birmingham yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a car that had been in collision with a wall at the junction of Lode Lane and Valley Road in Elmdon at approximately 11.30pm last night.

An ambulance, a paramedic area support officer and the Trust’s MERIT rapid response vehicle, carrying a critical care paramedic and a trauma doctor, were dispatched to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews treated the driver of the car, a man in his 20’s, for a fractured leg and pelvic injuries.

“The man was given pain relief at the scene and immobilised before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.”
