Acocks Green Crash

A woman has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Acocks Green this evening.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Warwick Road and Fox Hollies Road at 9pm.

An ambulance, together with a paramedic officer and a trauma doctor were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving two cars.

“A woman, believed to be in her fifties, and the driver of the car was trapped in her vehicle. She was released by emergency services and treated for chest injuries. Before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital the patient was immobilised with the use of a neck collar, spinal board and given pain relief.

“Two other patients from the second car involved were assessed at the scene and later released without further hospital treatment.”
