Motorcyclist seriously injured

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following an RTC in Oldbury this morning.

The crash occurred in Unity Place at around 11am.  An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Trusts CARE team attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car and a motorcycle that had been in a significant collision.

“The man riding the motorcycle, believed to be in his mid 20’s, suffered a serious leg injury.  He received emergency treatment at the scene including receiving pain relief and being immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar.

“The man was transferred by land ambulance to Sandwell Hospital for further emergency treatment.”

“The occupants of the car were uninjured in the crash.”
