Pedestrian fatally injured

Sunday 27th October 2013 – 9.15am – John Hawker.

A pedestrian has died following an incident in Stoke on Trent in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred on the High Street, Tunstall, at around 4.30am.  An ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a man and a car that had been in a collision.

“The pedestrian, a man, had suffered serious injuries and was in traumatic cardiac arrest.

“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
