A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Birmingham city centre this morning.
The incident occurred on St Chad’s Queensway just after 6.10am.
Two ambulances together with a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a pedestrian had been in collision with a car.
“A man in his twenties was treated for multiple injuries.
“The patient was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and placed on a spinal board before he was conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital further assessment and treatment.
“The hospital was alerted to the serious condition of the patient.
“Two passengers travelling in the car were assessed by ambulance staff at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.”
