Incident at Stafford Railway Station

A man has been seriously injured in an incident at Stafford railway station this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called shortly before 8.40am today.

A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A man in his twenties had suffered extensive burns which were treated at the scene. He was also given pain relief before being taken by land ambulance to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.”
