Pedestrian Injured in Redditch

A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Redditch last night..

The incident occurred in Rough Hill Drive, Crabb Cross just before 11pm.

An ambulance crew, together with the Medical Emergency Response Incident Team (MERIT) treated the patient.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a pedestrian had been in collision with a car.

“A male in his thirties was treated for a serious head injury.

“The patient was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and placed on a spinal board before he was conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.”

“The hospital was alerted to the serious condition of the patient.”
