A man has died following a road traffic collision on the A460, Wolverhampton Road, Cannock.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident at approximately 3.15pm.
Two ambulances; a paramedic officer; a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, together with the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a two car collision.
“Despite the efforts of medics at the scene, nothing could be done to save the patient who was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A man and woman together with a young child travelling in the second car involved were assessed at the scene by ambulance staff before being released.”
