Two Injured in Hinstock

Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision near Hinstock in north Shropshire this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene at Shakeford, Hinstock just after12.45pm.

Two ambulances, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer, together with the Welsh Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews responded to a road traffic collision involving two cars.

“A man in his thirties was trapped in his car after it came to a halt against the wall of a public house. He was released and treated for arm and hand injuries. The patient was taken by land ambulance to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

“The female driver of the second vehicle involve, believed to be in her sixties, was treated for chest and neck pain before being airlifted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
