A4110 Crash in Herefordshire

A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision between a car and bus on the A4110 Aymestrey near Hereford this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident, just before 7.15am.

An ambulance; a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle; a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a car significantly damaged after in colliding with a bus.

“The driver of the car, a man in his thirties, was treated for pelvic, chest and abdominal injuries.

The patient was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

“The bus driver was assessed at the scene and did not require further treatment. No passengers were on board the bus at the time.
