West Midlands Ambulance Service worked closely in connection with the Fire Service to secure the safety of all involved at a factory fire earlier this afternoon.
Responding to a call made at 2.35pm, the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), three ambulance officers and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene at G&P Batteries LTD on Crescent Works Industrial Park, Darlaston.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews were called to a factory fire in Darlaston which is believed to have started when a battery caught fire.”
“One man, believed to be about 40-years-old, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not require hospital treatment.”
