A 13-year-old boy has escaped serious injury after being involved in a road traffic collision in Coventry this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian in Radford Road at around 9.10am this morning (Monday).
An ambulance, a rapid response paramedic and paramedic officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Fortunately on arrival, crews discovered a 13-year-old boy with minor injuries following a low speed collision with a car.
“Upon assessment, crews found the young boy had sustained minor facial injuries and abrasions to his back.
“He was treated for his injuries immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment.
“The driver of the car was assessed by ambulance staff but did not require hospital treatment.”
