I’ve been able to make a difference to someone’s life – First Time on the Frontline

Kelly - Happy Kelly - young casualty Kelly at A&E

Today’s ‘First Time On The Frontline’ was a tough one to watch. We saw Kelly and her mentor Eoin treating a 6 year old boy with multiple injuries who was trapped under a car. However, we also saw the other side of the job, assessing and treating an elderly patient at the scene so that they could stay at home. It’s a fascinating insight into the life of being a ‘rookie’ paramedic.  As Kelly says: “All of the challenges you face at universityall paid off and I’ve been able to make a difference to someon’s life.”
