A woman has died following a road traffic collision in a Herefordshire village earlier this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Dormington, near to Dormington Court, shortly before 4.30pm (Friday). Two ambulances, a responder paramedic, a paramedic area support officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a MERIT trauma doctor on board and a nearby BASICS doctor from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a woman pedestrian in cardiac arrest after reportedly being in collision with a car.

“Ambulance staff immediately started CPR on scene and quickly transferred her to the awaiting ambulance before alerting her into nearby Hereford Hospital.
