Motorcycle v car in Penn

A motorcyclist was thrown approximately 20 meters from his bike following a collision with a car this morning leaving parts of the motorcycle strewn across the road, and the car on a grass verge.

Two ambulances and a paramedic area support officer attended the crash which took place shortly before 7.50am on Goldthorn Hill in the Penn area of Wolverhampton.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said “The motorcyclist, a man in has 40’s was treated for leg and rib injuries.

“Luckily the man was wearing full protective clothing which greatly reduced his chance of any serious injuries.

“The driver of the car, a woman in her late 40’s was given pain relief treated for neck and back pain.

“Both the man and woman were immobilised by paramedics using a spinal board and neck collar, and were then taken to New Cross Hospital for further treatment.”
