A man has been conveyed to a major trauma centre following a collision with a bus afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident on Roanne Ringway, near to Chapel Street in Nuneaton shortly before 4.15pm this afternoon.
Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and a paramedic area support officer were dispatched to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance crews were called to reports of a pedestrian that had been in collision with a bus.
“On arrival at the scene, crew’s treated a man believed to be in his 20’s for chest, pelvic and arm injuries. The man was fully immobilised and was conveyed to the major trauma centre and University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire. The hospital was pre-alerted to the arrival of the man and of his injuries.
“The driver of the bus was also treated at the scene before being conveyed to George Eliot Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
