Collision in Aldridge

Ambulance on blues

Three adults and a child have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Aldridge this afternoon.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Walsall Road and Birmingham Road at just after 1.15pm.

Three ambulances; a paramedic officer and a community paramedic attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving two cars and a lorry.

“A man, believed to be in his seventies, was treated for chest pain and taken by ambulance to Good Hope Hospital.

“A man and woman travelling in the second car involved were treated for minor injuries and taken to Walsall Manor Hospital. A 3-year old male child, also travelling in the vehicle received minor injuries and was taken to hospital for assessment.

“The lorry driver was assessed at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.”
