Two people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in the Black Country.
West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances, a paramedic area support officer, a rapid response vehicle from the Midlands Air Ambulance base in Cosford and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire to the incident on Bourne Street in Coseley shortly after 6.30pm this afternoon.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a single vehicle that had collided with a wall and had overturned.
“The driver, who had reportedly been unconscious prior to the arrival of the ambulance crews, was trapped in the car for a period of time. The man was immobilised and a freed from the vehicle before being conveyed to New Cross Hospital.
“The passenger, a woman, was out of the car and was treated for abdominal pain before being conveyed to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.
“Both patients were conveyed by land ambulance”
