Two Vehicle RTC near Warwick

Three people have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision near Warwick this evening.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the B4439 at the junction with the A4177 at Hatton at just after 5.20pm.

Two ambulances; two paramedic officers and the Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Three men were taken to hospital after a two car collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.

“The driver of the first vehicle involved, believed to be in his twenties, was trapped for almost an hour. He received multiple injuries and was given pain relief and immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board before being conveyed to the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire by air ambulance.

“A passenger in the car, also believed to be in his twenties was treated for a head injury and taken to the same hospital by land ambulance.

“A man in his forties driving the second car involved was treated for back pain and also taken by land ambulance to the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.”
