A man has suffered serious leg injuries after being in collision with a train in Leamington Spa this morning.
The incident occurred near to Leamington Railway Station, Old Warwick Road, at around 7.20am. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Trusts HART Team, a BASICS Doctor and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said “Crews arrived to find a man who had suffered serious leg injuries after being in collision with a train.
“The man, believed to be in his mid 30’s, received emergency treatment at the scene by medics and was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency treatment.
“The hospital had been pre alerted to the mans injuries and his serious condition.”
