Motorcyclist injured hitting barrier

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries following an RTC in Birmingham this evening.

The crash occurred on College Road, Sparkhill at around 8.30pm. An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Trusts MERIT Team attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a motorcycle that had left the road and been in collision with a barrier.

“The man riding the motorcycle suffered significant abdominal injuries. He received emergency treatment at the scene and his condition was stabilised.

“The man was transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Major Trauma Unit for further treatment. A Trauma team were awaiting his arrival.”
