Three people have been injured, two seriously following an RTC in Coventry this evening.
The crash occurred on Broad Lane at around 7.25pm. Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer, the Trusts MERIT Team and a BASICS Doctor attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two cars that had been in a significant collision. Both vehicles had suffered substantial damage.
“The driver of one car had suffered serious head injuries and was unconscious. The man, believed to be in his 20’s, received emergency treatment at the scene by medics and his condition was stabilised.
“The passenger in the same car, a man also in his 20’s suffered minor leg injuries and was also treated by paramedics. Both men were transferred by an ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.
“A man travelling in the second car also suffered serious head injuries and was unconscious. The man in his 20’s, received emergency treatment and was also transferred by ambulance to UHCW.
“The hospital had been pre alerted to the patients arrival and there serious injuries.”
