Motorcyclist dies in Birmingham

A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Birmingham last night (Sunday).

The crash occurred on the junction of Lea Ford Road and Packington Avenue in Kitts Green, just before 7.50pm. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer and two doctors to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Despite the best efforts of the ambulance crew and doctors to resuscitate the motorcyclist, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead on scene.

“The driver of the car, a man, was uninjured in the incident and was discharged on scene.”
