Fatality in Staffordshire

A man has died in a single car road traffic collision in Eccleshall this morning.

The incident happened on the A519 between Slindon and Beech in Eccleshall at 7.15am (Friday). A paramedic area support officer and a BASICS doctor attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The paramedic and doctor arrived to find a car which had been in collision with a tree. Sadly it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the driver, a man, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“No one else was injured in the collision.”
