Want the best job in the world? 130 people have applied so far!

West Midlands Ambulance Service is looking to recruit and train 300 people to become paramedics.

Since the advertisement first appeared on Wednesday 17th December, the website has had more than 3,900 views and received 130 applications.

  1. My husband as worked for nearly 41 years for the w m a s . I think he should have been given a token of some appreciation for all his years service don’t think there is many that as done the years Michael Worsdell Bridgnoth Shropshire

    1. Hi Dawn…not quite sure what has happened regarding your husband, but 41 years is a very impressive time to work anywhere. All staff who retire are invited to our annual awards ceremony in March. I will pass on your details to the people who organise this to enure that his name is on the list.       1. Hi Dawn…further to our last reply, your husband was invited to a ceremony in 2011 to celebrate his time with the Trust but we have a note showing that he didn’t attend. We also note that he is back working with us. There is currently some work on going to look at recognising people who have served such long periods with the organisation as it is right and proper that their time giving to others should be recognised appropriately. I hope this helps.
