Fatal house fire

A woman has died following a house fire in Birmingham yesterday.

West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance and a paramedic area support officer to a building fire on Church Hill Road at approximately 6.50pm yesterday evening.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews were called to reports of a fire at a private property.

“Sadly, one woman was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
