Trust reaction to the conviction of Jason Southall

Friday 6th March 2015 – 10.00pm – Murray MacGregor.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) is appalled at the actions of an ambulance emergency medical technician who has been convicted of racially aggravated harassment.

Jason Southall (44) was found guilty at South Sefton Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 6th March.

WMAS can confirm that, earlier today, Mr Southall resigned from the Trust with immediate effect before disciplinary action could be taken against him.

As a Trust, such a deeply offensive gesture cannot be condoned and we welcome the actions of Liverpool FC and Merseyside Police to bring this case to court.
