A woman has been airlifted to one of the region’s major trauma centres following a nasty fall from a horse in Worcestershire this afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the incident near to Gipsy Lane, Wolverley shortly before 4.30pm and sent an ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews found a woman who it is believed had suffered a significant fall from a horse which had bucked.
“Crews quickly assessed the woman, believed to be in her 40s, and began treating her for back and hip injuries, as well as a suspected fractured pelvis.
“She was immobilised with the use of a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
