A man has escaped with minor injuries after his car ended up through the front of a building in Fenton.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to The Musician on City Road, Fenton shortly before 8.00am this morning (Tuesday). An ambulance and a paramedic area support officer attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find a car which had left the road and collided with a building causing substantial damage.
“The driver, a 63-year-old man, sustained neck pain and had to be extricated from the wreckage with the help of the fire service.
“The man was immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board before being taken by land ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
“Had there been pedestrians on the pavement at the time of the incident, the outcome could’ve been much more serious.”
