Motorcyclist unconscious following serious RTC

A motorcyclist was unconscious following a serious RTC in Nuneaton this afternoon.

The incident occurred at the junction of Gypsy Lane and the Coventry Road, near the Griff Public House at around 3.45pm. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a motorcyclist who had suffered head injuries following a crash with a car.

“The biker, believed to be a man in his 20’s, received emergency treatment at the scene by medics and started to regain consciousness following treatment.

“Emergency treatment continued in the ambulance on route to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire who had been alerted to the man’s injuries and his arrival.

“The woman driving the car was uninjured in the crash.”
