A teenager has been injured after a collision with a car in Coventry that left the windscreen shattered.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Westwood Business Park shortly before 8.50am today. The control room received numerous calls reporting a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
An ambulance crew, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham in Worcestershire attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A man in his late teens had a dislocated fractured shoulder and back pain. He was immobilised on a scoop stretcher and a neck collar was applied. He was taken by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
