A man walking his dog has been flown to hospital after being trampled by a herd of cows.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the disused Kenilworth railway line in Balsall Common at 8.10am today.
A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulances from Cosford in Shropshire and Strensham in Worcestershire attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man who is in his fifties, had a chest injury, numerous rib fractures and bruising to his abdomen. A pelvic binder was applied, he was given pain relief and was immobilised on a scoop stretcher before being flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
