A mountain biker found fallen by a passerby on a roadside in Worcestershire has been airlifted to hospital in Birmingham.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Lower Wyche near Earnslaw Quarry shortly after 10.40am today.
A rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended and landed on a nearby common.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man who is in his sixties, had a serious head injury.
“He was immobilised on a stretcher and a pelvic binder was applied. His head injury was causing him to be agitated which was relieved with the critical care skills of the air ambulance crew who flew him to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.”
