Teenage pedestrian seriously injured in collision with car in Birmingham

A 14 year old boy has been taken on blue lights to Birmingham Children’s Hospital after he collided with a car in the city.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Golden Hillock Road shortly after 9.05pm on Thursday 3rd September.

An ambulance crew, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle and the MERIT trauma team consisting of a trauma doctor and critical care practitioner attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The boy who was initially unconscious, had head and facial injuries and a suspected pelvic injury.

“His injuries were treated at the scene and when the trauma team arrived, he was anaesthetised and his airway maintained.

“He was taken to the city’s Children’s Hospital.”
