The drivers of two HGV’s have been injured after a crash overnight in Lichfield.
The crash occurred on the A38 Northbound, Weeford at around 3.20am. An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer and the Trusts Merit team attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two HGV’s that had been in a serious collision.
“The driver of one vehicle, a man believed to be in his 60’s, suffered serious arm and abdominal injuries.
“The man was treated at the scene by ambulance medics and his condition was stabilised. Following treatment the man was transferred to Walsall Manor Hospital for further treatment.
“The man driving the second lorry suffered a minor head injury and received treatment at the scene by medics. He did not require further treatment and was discharged.”
