A man was trapped in the car he was travelling in following a crash in Stoke on Trent last night.
Ambulance crews responded to reports of a serious RTC in Well Street, Biddulph at around 10.45pm. Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer and two BASICS Doctors attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a man trapped in a car that had been involved in a serious RTC.
“The man received treatment by medics whilst still trapped in the car. He had suffered a head injury and also multiple minor injuries. Treatment continued whilst the man was cut from the vehicle by the fire service.
“The man in his 50’s received further treatment at the scene once he had been removed from the car and his condition was stabilised. He was then transferred by ambulance to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.
“No other person was found at the scene of the crash.”
