A pedestrian has received trauma care at the scene of an RTC this afternoon.
The incident occurred at the junction of West Bromwich Road and the Broadway, Palfrey, Walsall at around 4.40pm. An ambulance and the Midlands Air ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a female pedestrian that had suffered multiple serious injuries after being struck by a car.
“The woman, believed to be around 20 years old, received trauma care at the scene by medics for serious pelvis, leg, and abdominal injuries. It is also believed the woman had a period of unconsciousness.
“Treatment continued as the womans condition was stabilised and she was transferred by land ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.
“Unfortunately the woman injuries were described as very serious.”
