A car and a motorbike were in a serious collision early yesterday evening with the biker suffering multiple injuries.
The crash occurred at the junction of Broadstone Road and Sheldon Heath Road, Yardley at around 6.05pm. A rapid response paramedic, an ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Stafford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find the biker had suffered serious head, leg, wrist and suspected pelvic injuries.
“The man, believed to be in his late teens, was treated at the scene by medics and his condition was stabilised.
“He was then airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital major trauma unit for further emergency treatment.
“A woman that was travelling in the car was also treated at the scene for the effects of shock. She did not require hospital treatment.”
