Stuck in miles of tailbacks; make sure you don’t make it worse

Tuesday 15th September 2015 – 6.55pm – Murray MacGregor.

Literally thousands of motorists have faced a delayed journey after a crash involving a lorry and three cars on a Midland motorway.

The collision on the northbound M6 between Stafford North (junction 14) and Stoke (junction 15) happened at just after 4.10pm on Tuesday afternoon left all four vehicles badly damaged.

The staff from an ambulance and a paramedic officer assessed a total of six people at the scene. Two women and three men from the cars and the man driving the lorry were all checked over but didn’t require any further treatment and were discharged.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Thankfully no-one was badly hurt in the crash, but it will be a difficult drive home for many motorists. Our crews reported miles of tale backs on both the north and southbound carriageways.

“Whilst this will clearly be incredibly frustrating, we would ask all drivers to keep their concentration as the last thing we want is a further accident from lack of attention or rubbernecking.”
