A pedestrian had died after a collision with a vehicle on a country lane.
The man was found in Blythe Road, Coleshill at about 4.30am on Sunday morning. There were no vehicles at the location.
An ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When he was found, the man was in cardiac arrest and had suffered multiple injuries.
“Sadly, there was nothing that could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
