Motorcyclist airlifted after coming of bike

An off-road motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after coming off his bike on a track in Solihull.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Hampton-in-Arden shortly before 11.55am today.

A paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man who is in his forties was fully equipped with safety gear and clothing. He fell from his motorbike and suffered an isolated head injury. He was otherwise in a stable condition.
“He was immobilised, given painkillers and was flown by the Midlands Air Ambulance to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.”
