A woman has been taken to a major trauma centre after the car she was in overturned in Staffordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Gnosall Road, Gnosall shortly after 5pm today…
Two ambulance crews attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The woman passenger and male driver were both out of the car when the first ambulance crew arrived. The woman who is in her late teens with neck, spinal and shoulder injuries was sitting in the brand new car of a passerby.
“Without needing to resort to cutting off the new car’s roof, ambulance crews managed to immobilise and safely get her out. She was also given oxygen and pain relief. She was then taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital.
“The driver, a man in his twenties, had some bruises and was taken to County Hospital in Stafford as a precaution.”
