A woman has died following a house fire in Wolverhampton overnight.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received a 999 call to Bradburn Road at 12.10am and sent an ambulance, a community paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The fire service entered the house and rescued a woman from the bathroom of the property.
“The woman was in cardiac arrest and they immediately started CPR once they got her outside.
“Ambulance staff took over treatment upon their arrival and commenced advanced life support but sadly it became apparent that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There were no other patients involved in the incident.”
