A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “At the scene, ambulance staff were told that the bike, which had two people on it, had crashed.
“Crews carried out advanced life support on the man who was riding the bike, but sadly, despite their best efforts it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The 13 year pillion passenger suffered potentially serious pelvic injuries. She was sedated before being immobilised and had a pelvic binder put in place. She was taken on blue lights to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with the critical care paramedic from the MERIT vehicle travelling with the crew.”
