Two people have died following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the M6 overnight.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the southbound carriageway of the motorway between junctions four and three, near to Corley Services, just before 2.15am. An ambulance and a paramedic area support officer attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered two patients in the car, which had set alight.

“Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save either of them and they were confirmed dead at the scene.”
