A man received trauma care by ambulance staff after coming off his motorcycle in the early hours of today in Bedworth.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Bedworth Road in Bulkington, Bedworth, shortly after 1.30am this morning (Tuesday). An ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, in a ditch at the side of the road after reportedly colliding with a lamppost. Ambulance staff assessed the man and found he had sustained a serious neck injury. He was given pain relief before the team carefully worked to immobilise him before lifting him out of the ditch. Once stabilised the man was taken by land ambulance on blue lights to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.”
