A teenage boy was involved in a road traffic collision with a car in Handsworth last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Benson Road and Willes Road in Handsworth shortly before 6.30pm yesterday (Monday). An ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene and arrived within five minutes of the 999 call being made.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “When crews arrived they found a pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, who had been involved in a collision with a car. Upon assessment, ambulance staff found he had sustained a suspected head injury and a serious leg injury in the collision.
