Man seriously injured after motorbike and car collide

A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition following a collision between a motorbike and a car last night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Leek Road and Abbots Road in Abbey Hulton, Stoke on Trent, at 9.51pm and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and two BASICS doctors to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two patients from the incident.

“The motorcyclist, a man, had suffered multiple serious injuries in the incident. He received specialist trauma care at the scene before being transported to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

“The car driver, a man, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to the same hospital as a precaution.”
